‘University Testing On Animals Must Stop’

Anti-vivisection campaigners are to hand in a 1,400 strong petition to the management of the University of Bradford, calling for an end to animal experiments.

Stop Animal Experiments at Bradford has said it was formed to highlight the ongoing animal experimentation at the university and has previously held protests at the site. The group has also said it will be holding talks with the deputy vice-chancellor about the matter.

SAEAB spokesman Luke Steele said: “We have gathered more than 1,400 signatures in a small amount of time. This goes to show the amount of public opposition to testing on animals.”

The group has also said more than 100 activists will march through Bradford city centre next month. The march is to start at noon on Saturday, February 13, in Centenary Square.
